Due

A reminder here, a reminder there, and a reminder everywhere:

THE SKY IS FALLING!

Okay, probably not--mostly because I'm not Chicken Little. The semester is, however, almost up (next Friday!!). Everything that has been due is due by 7:30 AM on January 12th, twenty-ten.

So, get those missing assignments turned in. After the due date it's all worth exactly nothing.

Tick tock.

A treasure of extra credit is here too (for all those that visit the site). Comment [nicely, of course] on the class here on the blog for up to one assignment's worth of credit (10 to 20 points). :)

this extra credit expires on Friday, January 15th.

  1. Mr. Raine. You know what?? I think that your blog is so super funny. I'm always wondering what you're going to say next. You have this way of teaching class, that makes me want to pay attention. At the beginning of the year, I just thought that your class was going to be BORING! Wow. You proved me wrong. Way wrong. Every 'B' day I look forward to coming to your class. You make it fun and interesting. :)

  2. Alright, well I'm commenting in hopes of receiving that lovely extra credit this blog has to offer. Though in order to acquire this tremendous bounty, there are tasks one must first complete. To comment on the class, well rather in all honest truth of course, I can't stand the size of the classroom and the whole sort of "clutter" kind of feel to it. But besides the physical attributes of the classroom, the feel of it is exceptional. It's a very comfortable student-friendly environment, and the teacher isn't too shabby. Really.

  3. You've promised extra credit and I'm here to make sure you're a man of your word. I love your blog, especially the fish, I have to play with them every time I'm on here. :) Question, is your third period as much fun as your fourth because I'm almost positive I'll be switching.

  4. Hey Raine! How are you? I honestly have to say I enjoy your class every other school day. Katie and I definately enjoy the seating arrangement. Your site is awesome by the way, Feeding the fish is always an interesting pastime. :) Speaking of fish, i'm incredibly excited for you to get fish in your aquarium. What kind are you thinking? Can Katie and I name them? That'd be great. :) Well, back to the dynamics of your classroom. I'm learning a lot in your class. Sometimes I won't understand something but I eventually catch on. Your easier quizzes are interesting, they make me happy. I think we should watch more CSI, its always a good show. Your tarantella is creepy, and I don't really enjoy its presence in your classroom. Well, have a good weekend! If your tarantella disappears... just kidding, If I had to touch your tarantella then I think I might die. I'm just thankful you don't have a snake in your classroom as well. Hope you enjoyed this little... letter. See you Tuesday.

  5. Alright Mr. Raine, at the first of the year when we started getting into all of the assignments and tests. I really didn't think that I was going to pass the class or even get a D. But I have come to learn that you are a great teacher, and really try to help the students that don't quite understand. And it really helps! And the extra credit you offer, is really nice and just helps everyone that does it out! I really do enjoy your class, and thanks for all that you do to help me continue to learn.

  6. I too hope to get some extra credit. To comment on the class, I tend to enjoy it for the most part. I like the subject and the background I got in chemistry I got from AP biology with Mr. Talbot is helpful. Thank you for the easier quiz on Friday, Mr. Raine. I do not, however, enjoy science fairs, having done them throughout elementary and middle school. Science fairs simply do not make me love or be more interested in science. That's just an opinion though.

  7. I really appreciate having you as a teacher. I work as a stage crew student. That means I basically live at the school but, even better, I'm acting in Henry V and am there till 6 and cant get home till 10.( I don't have time to practice driving, I wait on others.) So what you do by letting us fight for full credit till the deadline is live saving on several accounts. -Hillary Thacker 6th

  14. So far this year has been very fun in this class especially and even though you havent said my name right all year you are still my favorite teacher. Remember that joke i told you heres another. Theres 2 muffins in the oven, one muffin says "Wow its really hot in here" and the other muffin says "AHHHHH a talking muffin!"

  15. Rainie your class is very enjoyable to be in. However the fact that it is chemistry is how ever torture. But it’s still a fun class. The more you are in class the more you get it. The more subjects we learn the more past and future subjects makes a lot more sense. So technically chemistry is murder if you don’t get it.
